3-Day Free Medical Outreach Brings Quality Healthcare to Obio/Akpor Residents

In early April 2025, the people of Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency benefited from a three-day Free Medical Outreach sponsored by Rep. Ogundu Kingsley Chinda, Member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. The initiative was organized in partnership with Dailystar Pharmacy Nigeria Limited as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to quality healthcare and promote community well-being.

The outreach provided residents with the opportunity to receive professional medical care at no cost. Throughout the three-day programme, qualified healthcare professionals attended to participants, offering medical consultations, diagnostic services, and essential medications.

The medical outreach featured a wide range of healthcare services, including health education and wellness sensitization sessions, vital signs checks such as blood pressure and pulse assessments, consultations with medical doctors and optometrists, laboratory investigations, medical diagnoses, and the dispensing of prescribed medications free of charge.

Beyond healthcare services, the programme also provided additional relief support to participants, including the distribution of food items to help ease the burden on vulnerable families within the constituency.

The initiative reflects Rep. Ogundu Kingsley Chinda’s continued commitment to improving the health and welfare of the people of Obio/Akpor through impactful community-based programmes. By bringing essential healthcare services closer to residents, the outreach helped promote early detection of health conditions, increased health awareness, and improved access to treatment for those who might otherwise face barriers to medical care.
